"Come, to Me..." (Matthew 11:28)

We are all familiar with these three simple, yet incredibly meaningful words spoken by Christ.  This afternoon during devos I queried my heart, "what weight or meaning do these words hold for you?"  Sorted somewhere in the scribblings of my notebook, I wrote this:

Come could be spiritually synonymous with...

  • move
  • work
  • pursue
  • fight
  • overcome
  • challenge
  • persist
  • devote
  • seek
  • look
  • find
  • sacrifice
  • humble
  • renew
  • follow
  • trust
  • free
  • commit
  • discipline
  • watch
  • emulate
  • pattern
  • choose
To could be spiritually likened to...
  • focus
  • eyes forward
  • goal
  • prize
  • meditate upon
  • listen
  • hear
  • dwell
  • enter His presence
  • trust
  • obey
  • fight off
  • refuse
  • disillusion
Me is equal in meaning to...
  • Christ
  • Authour
  • Finisher
  • Joy
  • Peace
  • Love
  • Morality
  • Right
  • Light
  • Hope
  • Strength Perfected
  • Wisdom
  • Discernment
  • Inspiration
  • Grace
  • Forgiveness
  • Acceptance
  • Director

I encourage you, dwell on how "Come to Me..." specifically relates to you.  Does "Come" connotate humility?  Or perhaps freedom?  What does that reveal about your relationship with Christ?  Perhaps it will provoke a meaningful though process. (:
Blessings!
